Hi friends, hope you all have been having a great start to your year. I have been a little MIA on the the blog because if you didn’t know I got my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy Oliver last Saturday, and have been loving on him non-stop. It has been an adjustment with him while working from home and of course still having my broken ankle. It has been going great, and I have been loving every minute of it. If you follow on Instagram and Facebook, you saw that he immediately came to me when I met him and he just knew that I was his mommy which was so special. It has been nice to still be working from home so that I can keep an eye on him and try to house train him early. This type of breed of dog is very much a people person and wants to be around you and cuddle non-stop.

Even though I haven’t fully been back to work every day, I have gone into the office for 2 different workshops which was nice to be able to see some familiar faces and get to wear a fun Winter work look. If you are like me then you most likely wear a comfy look 9 times out of 10 for your work from home look. This is great, but most likely you will need to go to the office sometime soon or be on a video conference where you will need to look a little more presentable. I wore this look when I went to the office a couple of weeks ago. These plaid pants are so comfortable and chic with the tie and the tailored look. I love plaid and feel like you can wear it to work or dress it down on the weekends for a transitional look. There is something so classy about this Winter work look that can go from during the week to the weekend. Speaking of weekends, if you didn’t catch my Galveston travel guide I did you must check it out. James and I just booked a weekend trip to New Orleans the first weekend in February too, which we can’t wait for. This will be a lot of fun as he hasn’t been, and I want to hit up all of the great restaurants. If you have any recommendations, please feel free to send them my way.
